ABOUT

We invite you to our seaside residency on Via Purgatorio in Calabria, Italy.

The house is made up of two 17th century buildings situated atop the old city of Scalea, surrounded by beautiful mountains, kind people and a quiet life.

We put a lot of love and thought into this place over the course of two years of renovations, and hope that it can be a refuge for the artist’s soul.

Ideally, your time on Purgatorio, out of time and away from everything,

will open up some space and help you create.

WE OFFER:

* A private bedroom and bathroom

(either en suite or connected to your room)

* A shared kitchen and living room

* A shared roof and sunroom

A view of the mediterranean Sea from every window, sun, good energy and Quiet.

we are happy to share breakfast each day and a communal dinner together at least once during your stay.

Lunch and dinner are not provided (YET!)

THE COST:

Our goal is to offer our space to artists for as symbolic a fee as possible, out of the belief that time in Purgatorio should be affordable for all. Because we are only just embarking on this journey, and do not yet have any outside support,

we kindly ask all residents to pay the following for their time here:

Stay € 300 / week

Car € 35-40 / day (depending on the season)
