Once a year we offer a payed residency stay in our house in the South of Italy.
Our goal is to offer our space to artists for as symbolic a fee as possible, out of the belief that time in Purgatorio should be affordable for all. Because we are only just embarking on this journey, and do not yet have any outside support,
WE OFFER:
A private bedroom and bathroom (bathroom either en suite or connected to your room)
A shared kitchen and living room
A shared roof and sun room
A view of the Mediterranean Sea from every window, sun, good energy and Quiet.
We are happy to share a communal dinner together at least once during your stay or cook together every day, each taking turns - this is up to you preferences.
Lunch and dinner are not provided (YET!)
We will be hosting and living with you as it is our home. Happy to show around and help to get around if needed.
THE COST:
Our goal is to offer our space to artists for as symbolic a fee as possible, out of the belief that time in Purgatorio should be affordable for all. Because we are only just embarking on this journey, and do not yet have any outside support,
We kindly ask all residents to pay the following for their time here:

PLEASE NOTE:
CARE. We ask that you to treat the house with respect and care as we are welcoming you into our home
TRANSPORT. The closest airports are: Naples, Rome, Lamezia Terme.

CAR. If you want to travel around on your own, we suggest to rent a car, it would be € 35-40 / day (depending on the season)
THE WORK.
It is up to you how much time you choose to dedicate to your project during your sta, maybe it's the rest you needed, maybe the prepping to write or doing the work itself - you do you.
We ask that you share your professional and personal goals ahead of time so that we can do our small part to keep you focused.
We kindly ask for “No Man’s Land Residency” to be credited and tagged in any work created during the residency.

WE ARE
Two artists who needed a place to escape to. This home is our refuge. It's been two years since moved to the village and the inspiration it has given us, the mind that has opened up and a new openness is something that only time away can gift.

The little boat of my intellect now sets sail
to course through gentler waters
leaving behind her a sea so cruel.
And I will speak of that second region
where the human spirit is purged
and becomes fit to climb to Heaven.
But, since I am yours, O sacred Muses,
here let dead Poetry rise again.
– Dante, The Divine Comedy “Part II: Purgatorio”.
We are only beginning this journey, and so will be learning together with you what it means to run an art residency.
This is a private project created out of love.
