MEET THE PRESENTERS OF THE EVENING
Theater director When I was 7 years old my family emigrated to Israel. I grew up here and graduated from high school. Then I became interested in theater and went to St. Petersburg. I graduated from the theater academy, at the class of Lev Dodin. The first years were spent on trying to forget what I have been taught, and finding my own language. Now I understand that the knowledge of a classical theater school helps me to be in a dispute of it, and reinvent the theater language each time.
As a young director, I staged performances throughout Russia and always worked with a new drama. I often work in tandem with a playwright and compose a play out of context.
I would like to work with Israel theater and opera. Develop documentary theater and work with the music of contemporary composers. I would like to explore the local context and research it with the theatrical instruments. I would like to create a site specific performances, to run workshops with people from any field who would like to learn something about themselves through the theater and create their own artistic work.
